The Weekly Newsletter for Heart of Houston Birth and Wellness Families
July 5th
Happy Birthday!
Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful and festive 4th. Things are still hopping at the birth center! We welcomed sweet little Amelia into our community on Thursday evening. After spoiling us with fajitas and cookies she and her parents headed home to introduce big sister to her new best friend. Have I mentioned how much we love our jobs? Well, we do. A lot.
This Weekend
We have a great pregnancy group scheduled for this Sunday the 11th. Midwife Bethany will be joined by our favorite Dietitian/Nutrition Counselor, Samina Qureshi. Samina will share her tips on hydration and nutrition in hot and humid Houston. One of my favorite tips for postpartum preparation is outsourcing the most time consuming daily tasks. Meal prep is at the very top of that list and we are excited that Samina has partnered with Territory Foods to giveaway meal samples for everyone who attends. Vegetarian options will also be available. I hope you will join us this Sunday the 11th at 4pm. RSVP here (Please note that we have corrected the date for Mary's When Things Don't Go as Planned make-up session. The correct date is Sunday July 18th)
Mocktails Anyone?
We've added another fun event to the calendar for new and expectants folks. The ladies of Heirbloom Co are hosting a Mamas & Mocktails event at Heart of Houston. Saturday July 17th from 1:30-3pm. They will have guest speakers, giveaways and yummy treats for each attendant. Heirbloom Co offers birth and postpartum doula services as well as some incredible products for postpartum recovery. We hope you all will join us for this event. Pregnant and nursing mamas welcome! RSVP Here
